This is my family history project. I learned a lot of new information about where my mom and dad come from and where my grandparents come from. This is the e-mail I sent to my brother to hear his favorite memories or any interesting facts that he knows about our family. For my interview I decided to interview my mom and dad and this is the questions I asked, and their responses to those questions.

I think that teachers read to much into what the students do. We aren't going against the mold of the class when we show up late, we probably just lost track of time. When we don't feel like reading the section given to us we aren't giving up on learning we are probably just tired for doing this exact same thing for  hours before that class. This teacher is trying to say, stay positive about school because the rest of your life will be a lot harder. The main event in school is learning life skills that will help you succeed in what you want to do in your life.

My stop motion  animation was about a marker filling out a calender all by itself. I chose my video to be about this because I couldn't think of anything that hasn't been done and I had a calender in my room, and a dry erase marker. I chose this because i could see it being really easy but still looking cool in the end. Honestly, I put off taking the pictures until the very end and so I needed 200 pictures and I saw the white board and thought it would be easy. I would rate my project a solid 7 out of 10 because I think it looked really nice at the end but I didn't really work that hard on it. I like the end project a lot, and like the way it looks with the music and everything.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

This weekend was prom, so it was very fun. Something funny that happened was when we were at dinner, we went to kyoto, the chef tossed up a shrimp to my friend and it went down her dress when she tried to catch it. Then he tossed it again and it went down her dress a second time. That was really funny. Another funny story is when we were taking pictures a mom jokingly said jump and my friend Emma actually jumped and the picture that we got of it was really funny.

Yes I completed the photo scavenger hunt, I walked around with Hannah and Colin on Friday and took the pictures. However, Adam is my partner. I liked taking the long shots and the birds eye view photos. I took all of my photos at school.

Tell me ALL about what your idea is for your stop-motion animation. I need detail. Who is going to help you take photos? What props do you need? Where do you plan on shooting? EXPLAIN everything. 

For my stop motion animation, I'm going to have a fruit salad make itself. There will be stairs that build themselves out of Lincoln logs. Then the fruit will go up those stairs and into the bowl one by one. Then there will be the fruit that needs to be cut up and peeled will do it themselves, the go up the stairs. Then it will mix itself and everything will be together and it will be done.

Tell me all about your weekend and please share photos!

On Thurday I went to Petland and did my story board about a trip to pet land.This weekend I had a volleyball tournament on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We did OK in it but it was a lot of fun because it was the Show Me qualifier and that is my favorite tournament for the whole year. They have all theses bouncy houses and trampolines and stuff that makes it really fun. I also went out to eat on Friday and Saturday. For Easter I got new clothes and good candy. I also went too the Nelson this weekend.

What do you love most about this time of year? Explain why you love it.

This time of the year is really beautiful. It is just now getting warm out now, so everyone is happier and the bright colors of spring are out everywhere you look. However, my favorite part about this  time of the year is days exactly like this. When it is warm outside, but still really rainy and humid. I like this because I love the rain, and I think it is really beautiful but I hate when it is cold and you can't actually go in the rain. It is really beautiful and I love standing in the warm rain.

What do you know about photography and/or photo editing? Do you take photos? How do you take photos? Do you edit photos before posting them on social media? How do you edit them? Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

I know a little bit about photography because I sometimes have to take pictures for newspaper. I know how to use Photoshop because I like to edit photos a lot. I have taken them for newspaper with a nice camera, but most of the time I just take them on my phone. I have used Photoshop and I have also used square ready on my phone and other apps made for instagram. I like to take pictures because I like them to remember moments nut other than that I don't really care for them or have any interest in them.

Welcome back! Go ahead. Tell me all about your Spring Break. Include photos!

This spring break was pretty uneventful. My parents left for New York last Tuesday and then came back this past Thursday, so I was home alone for most of spring break. That was refreshing because my house was really quite and it very rarely like that.I finally got my drivers license, so now i can drive legally and i am very excited about that.  Also, I went to the ark a lot because it was so nice out.I got asked to prom over the break and also went prom dress shopping. On last Tuesday through Thursday I helped at a little kids volleyball camp and that is basically all i did for the entire break.

What are you doing for Spring Break?
This spring break, I am doing absolutely nothing. I have to take my parents to the airport on Thursday morning at like 4 a.m. so I am really unhappy with that. However, I am very excited that I will be home all alone for like 5 five days. Then when i have to go pick them up at the airport really late because they want to get as much time in New York as they can. Other than that I have nothing to do, except go to volleyball practice and hang out outside. I think we might open my pool  over spring break but I am not sure if that is a for sure thing yet, my dad hasn't decided that yet. Overall it will be a pretty boring spring break.

Tell me about your weekend.
This weekend I went prom dress shopping with my friends on Friday and Saturday and then on Sunday I played in a volleyball tournament for the whole day. I didn't actually find a prom dress that I liked when  went this weekend so I am still looking but my friends all found their dresses so thats good. I did pretty well in my volleyball tournament it was Power League so we could have gotten a bid from it but we didn't quite make it there, we almost did though. I also died my hair earlier this weekend and i really like it so that made me really happy.

If you were the Principal for a week at BVHS, what would that look like? What changes would you make? Why?

If I was principal for only a week I would let the students do what ever they wanted without any consequences because i would only have to deal with them for that week. That way i could leave the school behind before anything actually went horribly wrong and then the principal would have to deal with all of the truant kids when they got back and i could just be thought of the best principal ever because there was that one week when everyone got their way and it didn't matter.

1. Keep the view's attention, don't let them zone off and not listen to you2. Don't only use a power point

Tel me about your weekend.
This weekend I went to Colorado for 5 days. I left Thursday morning and got back really late last night. I played in a volleyball tourny on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We did pretty good, we placed 23rd out of 206 teams so my coaches were kinda happy about that. I also went out to eat a ton and went shopping with my dad which was really fun because he let me get whatever I wanted. Yesterday we went to the Garden of the Gods which was really beautiful and i loved it. That is all I did this weekend and i had a lot of fun.

Tell me about your weekend. Give me a story, something funny that happened, an experiencing you had, the way you felt, etc. Include photos!

This weekend I didn't that much. On Friday I babysat two little boys for 7 hours. Then on Saturday I got my nails done and then me and my friend JoJo went to the Amc movie theater and saw the movie Big Hero 6. It was actually really funny and i enjoyed it a lot. Its is a cartoon that is about this really smart 13-year-old and he is trying to get into the same college that his brother goes to but then his brother dies and it is really sad but then he puts his brothers invention to good use and it is really funny. Then on Sunday me and my friend Courtney went shopping for almost the whole day and got a lot of clothes and bathing suits and just a whole bunch of stuff for summer time and I am really excited for summer.

If school had he perfect curriculum, then every student would graduate high school and feel like they could go into the real world and do fine. Instead we fear growing up everyday and never feel ready for the real world. Instead f taking required classes students would be able to choose what they wanted to study, that was they would know by the time they graduate what they enjoy and what thy hate. That way you can go to collage and be ready to get to know everything you nee to about your chosen profession. That way students wouldn't waste so much time and money on going to collage. Studying would be the same and class would be the same because you are still studying hard material.

Tell me what you believe this cartoon is trying to say. Do you agree or disagree with this idea? Try and look at this from two different perspectives. What is your perspective? What would be an adult/teacher's perspective?

I think that this cartoon is trying to say that other countries are much stricter with there education then America is. I do agree to this to an extent. I believe that Americans are not forced to learn under as harsh environments as some other countries. However, I do not believe that it effects how much we learn or how smart we are like the cartoon implies. As you can clearly see in the picture the students from the other countries are looking at the student from America with envy of the freedoms that they have. Another way to look at this could be that the two students are looking at the American student with astonishment  because that could be seen as disrespect from their country. I think that the Adults perspective would be that the students are astonished about the disrespect because all adults think that kids need to be more respectful.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work? I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

It does not mean much to me. If I had more or less work I would still use the same amount of focus. It really doesn't make sense because if I did less work it wouldn't benefit me at all. For example if I came in with an assignment half way done but told my teacher that I was really focused on the half that I did how would that be in any way good for me. The teacher would probably reply with a simple "well you should have finished" or a "well maybe next time you will focus on completing the assignment" and then I would get marked off even though I focused really hard, it doesn't mater.So if you do less work bu are really focused it does not even matter because you didn't get all your work done. So, in conclusion the saying "do less with more focus" does not even apply in the real world because all that maters in the real world are results. Focusing does not really help anyone.

Tell me all about your weekend! I sure hope you have photos to share

This weekend was pretty uneventful. On Friday I babysat a little girl and a little boy for 6 hours and it was pretty fun because they were leaving for Hawaii the next day so all we really did was pack and get everything ready for their trip. On Saturday I volunteered at the Girl Scouts association because I needed service hours. After that m friends and I went to the Arboretum for around an hour because it closes at 5 and I volunteered from 1-4. On Sunday I went to crown center and walked around since it was so nice out all day on Sunday. I also FaceTimed my sister on Sunday for a while.

Tell me about some interesting things you have learned about your global issue so far. What have you learned that you didn't know before? Include a couple images from the internet if possible. (Make sure to cite images that are not your own.)

I have learned some very interesting stats. For example only 1% of Americas population has Autism. and only about 20% of that 1% have dependency issues. and another 20% of that 1% are considered geniuses. I also learned the symptoms to look for include not speaking or wanting to interact with other children ad that these symptoms start around age 3-4. These are all facts that I did not know before. I also did not know that there were so many Autism foundations out there to help families with their children who have autism.

You haven't had a chance to tell me about your Sweetheart weekend yet - tell me about it now! Include photos if you have them. Even if you just laid around on the couch and watched Netflix, tell me all about it.

Sweetheart weekend I went to skate city. I went with a group of my friends First we went out to dinner at Talk of the Town and then got a lot of glow sticks and stuff to go to skate city. When we got there it was a lot of fun. I am not a very good skater myself, but some of my friends are very good. There was also a group of skaters that go there every weekend and have like dance routines and they were all skating in sync, it was really funny. I also went to Petland that weekend and played with two different puppies. The first one we played with was a little girl German Sheppard and she was so cute and was chewing on my shoe non-stop and i thought it was so cute but my friend Katie thought it was annoying and she was afraid of the little baby puppy. The next dog we took out was a tiny little beagle and it was so cute and my friend Katie actually liked that dog. So she had a lot of fun with that dog.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"? EXPLAIN.

E-mail is electronic mail. It is like sending a letter except it is on a computer or smart phone and gets there a lot faster than it would if you were to send it through mail. I usually only use e-mail if i have to talk to a teacher while I'm at home or something. I also use e-mail sometimes when i write a document in word and have to print it off at school or have to work on it at home. My sister uses e-mail when she is in class and can't text but can have her computer out. My mom and dad use e-mail all the time when they are working or need to talk to someone. As for e-mail etiquette I think you should always sign your e-mail and make sure their are no spelling errors.

Working after getting my college degree. I hope to go to college on a coast, preferably in Los Angels but I am also looking at a school in South Carolina.  After I graduate, I hope to get a job in one of those cities. Therefore, I hope to have a job in the field that i got my college degree in.

Yesterday I had you choose a global issue and you wrote about it on your blog. Today on your blog I want you to tell me about two different perspectives of your global issue. Are there people for an against your issue? Do people disagree on your issue? Is it a topic that can cause controversy? Look at the issue for two different perspectives. Tell me about those perspectives.

When concerning Autism, there are many controversial issues. One example is, streamlining students into the regular classrooms. People that are for this may see all of the benefits that the students are getting when they get to sit in an actual classroom. They get to experience what it would be like to be a regular student and get regular class participation. The people for this issue could argue that it prepares them for later in life when they are no longer in school, they get to be around many other students. However, on the other side of this issue they could argue that having kids with Autisim could be a distraction to the rest of the students. The students with Autisim do require more attention and some might believe that this takes away form the other students trying to learn. They also may believe that it is not fair that they get individualized learning plan.

I know very little about Autism. I have worked for years now with children who have Autism and I would like to know more about it. I wan to know what research has been done and I would like to know if there is any possible cures out there. It has not really effected my life, however, i have worked inside and outside of school with students who have Autism and my mother is a para. I would say yes I am very passionate about it.

Last week I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.
 To make it more interesting. Doing the same thing over and over again in google slides does not let the student learn and does not allow them to fully understand everything that google can offer for them. Besides we have known how to do bullets and headers our whole life so just doing another project with them would not be very much fun.

Kids these days are all obsessed with their phones and out getting into trouble. Their music is tasteless and it gives me a headache. You ca'n't have a conversation with them because they are always on their phones or talking to someone else. They also are always tweeting everything out about their lives. Like who cares what you ate for dinner? I do not understand it at all. Times have changed so much since I was a kid and I have got to say that it is not for the better.

PSA: Cyberbullying

What is a public service announcement (PSA)? What do PSA's do? What makes a good PSA? How can you get someone to take action after watching a PSA? What is you PSA idea? Explain in detail.

A PSA is a commercial or a add that you see that speaks out against something wrong, or something that the author f the PSA thinks is wrong. PSA's raise awareness to the truth about some issues that can have horrible causes. A god PSA contains information and facts that keep the viewer interested while at the same time informing them about the issue at hand. You could get someone to take action by putting how to take action at the end of your PSA so if they do want to help now they know how they can help. I want to do my PSA on cyber bulling because I feel that it could help with this increasing issue.

Tell me all about your 3 day weekend. Share photos!

This weekend I had a volleyball tournament down town. it was on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday but on Saturday and Sunday we only had it in the afternoon so I had the mornings free. On Friday I hung out with some of my friends then we went to breakfast on Saturday then I had to go play volleyball. I also hung out with my friends whenever i wasn't playing volleyball.

I am in 11th grade at BVHS. Over the years I have played volleyball, basketball, and softball. This year my favorite class has been my AVID class because I know everyone in there so I don't really have to meet anyone new. I am looking forward to the end of the year because then i will be a senior and I can't wait to be a senior.
